BIOGRAPHY

Seyi was called to the bar in 2017 and since 2018 has been recognised by Doyle’s Guide as one of Canberra’s recommended commercial litigation and dispute resolution and insurance law barristers. His insurance and personal injury practice includes medical negligence, workers compensation, CTP, public liability and professional indemnity claims, appearing for claimants, insurers, hospitals and government clients.

Seyi regularly appears in planning and development and property disputes for both government and private clients.  He also has a sports law practice and has sat on tribunals for several state and national sporting bodies and is a member of the Olympic Appeals Tribunal Practitioner List.

He was recently awarded a Churchill Fellowship and will travel to New York in 2022 for two months to work in and study the New York State Courts Office, in particular the performance and transferability of their court navigator program.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Seyi was a partner at Moray & Agnew Lawyers and also previously worked at the National Centre for Corporate Law and Policy Research. He is a committee member for both the Pro Bono Clearing House and the Legal Aid Review Panel.
